Founded in 2001 by Alex Lekocaj and Emilio Giglio, Alex Emilio Salon is an award-winning hair salon serving Birmingham, Royal Oak, and the greater Metro Detroit area. Named by L’Oréal Professionnel as a Top 100 Salon in the U.S. and featured by Allure, Hour Detroit, and Deadline Detroit, the salon has built a respected reputation for artistry, service, and modern hair expertise.

Rooted in the founding principles of education, service, and teamwork, Alex Emilio Salon is committed to ongoing training and continued education. Our stylists regularly refine their skills through advanced classes, academies, brand education, and in-salon collaboration, allowing our team to stay current with evolving techniques, trends, products, and client needs.

Over the years, Alex Emilio Salon has received Best of Detroit recognition and nominations for Best Hair Salon, Best Salon, and Best Blowout. In 2018, Alex Emilio Salon expanded to Birmingham in partnership with Jenny Foumia Summa, bringing its established approach to personalized service and elevated salon experiences to a second Metro Detroit location.
